What's the Problem?
China's and India's air quality is at dangerous levels, causing thousands of deaths each year. The flooding from the Yangtze River basin, monsoons, and heavy rain are causing deaths as well as economic problems, including killing the crops and the livestock. Diseases are spreading due to pollution in the Yangtze and Ganges Rivers, especially around Varanasi, India.
Overall, these environmental issues are responsible in causing thousands to millions of deaths per year.
